The problem

Setting up online radio used to be expensive: Icecast/Shoutcast, a CDN and 24/7 streaming. Most projects do not need real streaming, just the "live" experience.

How it's solved

It simulates "live" by calculating what should be playing based on the schedule and seeking to the right point in the file. Every listener hears the same thing at the same time, served straight from WordPress, with a weekly grid, jingles, fallbacks and a real live mode.
